Digital Advent Calendar - Day 12

For those of you with bridge cameras and digital SLRs, ensure you fit a skylight/UV filter to your lens.  It won't affect your pictures but will protect your lens elements from dust/scratches.  It's much easier to replace a skylight/UV filter than to buy a new lens!
