Open Door Drama Receive King's Award for Voluntary Service

It was a pleasure to photograph members of Open Door Drama at Lerwick Town Hall as they were presented with the King's Award for Voluntary Service, recognising more than three decades of contribution to community life in Shetland.

The award, which is regarded as the highest honour for local voluntary groups in the UK, marks a significant achievement for the organisation and its volunteers.

The presentation brought together members of the group, alongside Lord-Lieutenant Lindsay Tulloch and Deputy Lieutenant Lynn Tulloch, for a special occasion celebrating the positive impact Open Door Drama has had on Shetland's cultural community through theatre, creativity and opportunities for people of all ages.

As a photographer, it's always rewarding to document events that recognise the dedication and commitment of local volunteers.
