Capturing a 40-Year Milestone at Lerwick Harbour

I was recently commissioned to photograph a presentation at Lerwick Harbour recognising crew member Stephen Breivik's 40 years of service with Lerwick Port Authority.
As well as documenting the formal presentation, it was interesting to hear snippets about Stephen's career and the changes he has witnessed over four decades working around the harbour.
It is assignments like these that remind me that photography isn't just about images, it's about preserving the stories of the people behind Shetland's industries.
