Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Small who were married recently at ‘da Big Kirk’. Gemma and Alan are both extremely talented musicians with The Lomond Ceilidh Band, and I enjoyed seeing some nods to their profession dotted around various aspects of their wedding, including in their wedding rings!

Memorable Photographic Moment: Gemma grew up in Whiteness so the couple were keen to have photographs taken at one of Shetland’s most iconic viewpoints – the Whiteness böd. I’ve taken scenic couple shots a few times from the top of Wormadale with Whiteness Voe in the distance (and indeed have photos featuring the böd from a distance from my own wedding!), but have never photographed a bride and groom up close. It was a great opportunity for photos, made even more special because it was so local to Gemma’s childhood home.
