New 'game changing' device at Shetland UHI

Cytobot: I had a fun shoot out at Port Arthur, Scalloway recently photographing Gregg Arthur, Aquaculture Manager from the UHI Aquaculture Hub and it involved probably one of the most interesting cameras I've ever worked with! The state-of-the-art piece of equipment known as Imaging FlowCytobot (IFCB), is only the second of its kind in the UK, and our brief was to capture some images displaying the new technology - I'm sure it will prove to be a versatile tool for aquaculture monitoring.

Schedules and weather were in our favour during out short window of time to capture Gregg and the IFCB at the waterside. See the image below for more information on the IFCB and its deployment in lab and marine environments.

Thanks to Gregg for his time in showing me the device and to Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) - it was a pleasure working with you.
