Scottish Apprenticeship Award for Sarah Sandison

I recently visited Bon Accord Accountancy at North Ness in Lerwick to photograph accountant Sarah Sandison who had received a Scottish Apprenticeship Award in the Modern Apprentice of the Year SCQF Level 5 category.

I was responsible for the still images, but on this occasion I was working alongside Paul and Patrick from Solo Creative in Glasgow who were shooting video footage of Sarah telling her story. It was very rewarding working with Paul (director) and Patrick (video) as part of a team on a campaign project.

It was interesting hearing Sarah talk about her desire to remain in Shetland but still be able to gain her accountancy qualifications. Her apprenticeship with Bon Accord Accountancy was the perfect solution allowing her to further her professional development whilst earning a wage and living in Shetland.

Working at the weekend allowed us access to all areas of the Bon Accord Accountancy office. We scouted out suitable locations within the corporate environment which also offered a visual element to the images.

Many congratulations to Sarah and her colleagues at Bon Accord Accountancy – a very inspiring story which I was delighted to be involved with.
