I recently visited the Millen family at their home for a photo shoot. They live in a rural location even by Shetland standards, in a lovely crofthouse, so it was great to capture some of the hues of the landscape and traditional features of their home and garden.

The Millens have recently welcomed a new baby into their family and she was an absolute delight. I loved capturing her peerie smiles, content even while in a peat basket!! We made the most of the day's light inside and out and captured some naturally-lit portraits, sneaking into pockets of sun all around.

Big brother Benjamin was an absolute star and was really natural in front of the camera! I'm pleased to say that a variety of pictures from this photo shoot are already in situ. The Millen family took what I thought was a very clever approach - they joined me in-store at Camera Centre to choose frames, then we looked over their gallery to see which combinations would suit each frame. Multi-aperture frames have been quite popular recently and are now incorporated into some of my package options - great for displaying a mixture of pictures of families and siblings!

It's always so gratifying to receive a great review - it was a pleasure taking these family photos.

I couldn't help but take a moment to photograph the other members of the family!
