Deena and Gary married on Saturday 30 May at the Dunrossness Church of Scotland.

I met up with Gary and his best men Mark and Mark at the Sumburgh Hotel.   The three of them looked very dapper in their kilts.  We managed to capture a selection of photographs around Jarlshof before the heavens opened, so we moved indoors to the hotel.

Next stop was Deena’s parents’ house in Levenwick to meet up with Deena and her bridesmaids Hayley and Ashley who all looked lovely.  Deena and Gary’s son Alexander was also at Levenwick getting ready – he looked very smart indeed.

After the marriage in Dunrossness, we headed down to the Quendale Water Mill which was bathed in late-afternoon sunshine.  The mill was a super location for photography; a great choice by the bride and groom.

We finished up at the Cunningsburgh Hall for meal and evening dance with music provided by the excellent May and Mackie.  Highlights for me were the high quality speeches (some good lawyer jokes from Gary!) and the number of peerie bairns running around enjoying themselves – fantastic.

Deena and Gary live in Inverness, so I hope it’s not too long before I catch up with them again and best wishes to the happy couple for their future together.
