Helene & Scott’s Whalsay Wedding

I had a fantastic day yesterday at Helene and Scott’s wedding in Whalsay.  The marriage and meal took place at the Isbister Hall followed by the evening dance in the Symbister Hall with music provided by May & Mackie.

This was only my second wedding in Whalsay but the first time I had ever seen the traditional mutton supper – visiting the cookhouse was a great experience.  The slow cooked lamb cooked over a special peat fire was absolutely delicious perfectly accompanied by some freshly made bannocks!

Helene and Scott were treated to a beautiful warm day which allowed for plenty of photo opportunities.  Below is a selection of images from the day.  I wish Helene and Scott all the best for the future.
