Steven & Margaret

Posted on

On Sunday 2nd March 2014, Steven and Margaret were married at the Shetland Museum & Archives in Lerwick in a late afternoon ceremony.

I met up with Margaret and her family at the Decca self catering apartments and captured a few images before it was time to head along to the museum and catch up with the groom and his best man and before long it was time for the service to begin.  After the couple were married, there was time for a few group photographs before the wedding party and guests headed upstairs for food and to continue the celebrations.

During the ceremony Steven’s niece Zoe performed a tune entitled ‘I do’ which she had written specially for the wedding.  To hear the track, click here.

For those of you who are not aware, Steven is owner of Spencie’s Tunes, a music service business based on the island of Unst.  A talented fiddler and award winning composer, Steven composes tunes for special occasions.  Steven had composed a special tune for his wife Margaret.  The track is entitled ‘Peerie Steps’ and you can listen to it here.

Take a look below to see a selection of images from the big day; I wish Steven and Margaret a very happy future together.
