Neil Donald Tribute CD

When accordion player Neil Donald died in June last year, a recording was unearthed of Da Fustra playing at an accordion club in Forfar in 1991.

Cecil Hughson, founding member of Da Fustra, decided to turn the recording into a CD to sell to remind friends what a great player Neil was and, on behalf of Da Fustra Band, raise money for a charity of his son Stuart and daughter Gemma’s choice.

Neil played in the band for over 20 years.  Three of the band from 1991 still play – Alan Gifford (fiddle), Derek Hendry (piano) and Cecil Hughson (bass).  Also on the CD is Douglas Johnstone (drums) and guest accordionist Alan Nicolson.

Cecil is pictured presenting a cheque to Stuart and Gemma for £1130.
