Join in the fun as Living Lerwick's Fair Isle Festival begins on Sunday.

With so many events taking place during the first couple of weeks in August, Living Lerwick want to make sure everyone makes the most out of it, so have created the Fair Isle Festival to be held from 4th to 10th.

Starting with a Fair Isle Family Cycle Parade on Sunday 4th at 12pm, everyone is welcome to come along and cycle from King Harald street play park to Victoria Pier - we only ask that you wear something Fair Isle, or even decorate your bike!

Papa Stour Sword Dance and Da Shanty Yellmen will be performing at the Market Cross after the cycle parade, street markets will be open on Harrison Square and shops along Commercial street will be open throughout the day - Boots will be doing a charity dunk at 2pm!

Oxjam and Aamarie Music have organised live music from buskers during the week and we invite anyone to come along and play a tune at any time. Shops will be opening late during the week which will be a great time to have some music on the street!

More information on all of the above events can be found at www.livinglerwick.co.uk

More details will be added here as we get new information in so watch this space!
