Dilapadated Bus

On the drive back from Sumburgh after returning from my holiday I came across this old bus.  I thought this would be a great photographic opportunity what with the rough textures, range of colours and dramatic clouds.

UPDATE

I have been doing some digging around and found out some more information on this vehicle from a reliable source.

This AEC bus was taken up during the early 1970s when the Sullom Voe Oil Terminal was getting started.  The bus eventually ended up being used as a school contract bus from the Sandwick Transport Company.

To find out more about the AEC buses then I found a dedicated website here.

If anyone else can shed any more information on this bus then I’d be interested to hear.
