The latest Digital SLRs come equipped with Live View which enables you to preview your image through the LCD in addition to the viewfinder.Now, if you're taking photos in different lighting conditions then try this: while on live view mode, toggle through the different white balance settings.  Yes, you'll see a live preview how each white balance setting is going to look for that particular image.  This makes colour correction much simpler and avoids painful post-processing editing.  If you're in RAW mode then you can easy adjust the white balance later.
