One of my favourites

Pictured above is an image I captured last week and it's one of my favourites in recent times mainly due to its simplicity.

I photographed the scene in the early afternoon, not a time I normally like taking photos as the light is generally too harsh compared to the famous 'Golden Hour' at sunrise and sunset.I love the repeating patterns of the waves combined with the rich, deep blue colour of the sea.  I chose a shutter speed to show a little motion in the waves but to still differentiate one set of waves from the next.

It's not an image that is going to win any awards, or get many 'likes' on social media, but it's a picture I really enjoy looking at as it's natural and how I saw the scene at the time.
