To mark World Diabetes Day, Diabetes UK hosted a Family Fun Day in Shetland at the Islesburgh Community Centre on Saturday 14th November. 

The day included information stalls, exercise taster sessions, healthy cooking demonstrations, raffles, a tombola and a virtual cycle around Shetland.  

Several Shetland residents were awarded medals for having lived with Type 1 diabetes for 50 or 60 years.
